Made a promising start to his career with two good runs in October, winning at Nottingham. Raced freely and was disappointing on his reappearance at Newmarket in April. Since gelded, so may get back on track but has that to prove.
3-1 and ran well, if green enough, on debut at Newmarket last month. Was beaten just 1L despite hanging late on, so with more knowledge of the game this time, he could prove tough to topple.
33,000gns foal, £75,000 yearling. Half-brother to three winners inc Green Howard (6f-1m) & Manatee Bay (5f-6f), out of 6f winning half-sister to 6f Group 2 and two 5f Group 3 winners. Lovely pedigree, though this looks plenty far enough on debut.
Improved on his debut when 3½L third at Thirsk (7f, good to firm) last month. Likely to be capable of building on that again and certainly not ruled out.
Forecasts
Auxerre (2/5), Msayyan (3/1), Juthoor (8/1), Global Melody (25/1)
A tricky race to solve, but AUXERRE's debut effort was sufficient to suggest that he can step up on it with a win this time. Msayyan and Juthoor can't be ruled out given who they represent, with improvement possible from both.
