Only success in 18 starts came over 1m2f and he has been giving the impression that may be more his trip.

Yet to convince he stays this far and his only victory came in a low grade contest. Probably has too many doubts to overcome.

Modest performer by this yard's standards and has a tendency to hang right under pressure. Blinkers retained after Monday's experiment and credit due for the top rider on board.

Redcar winner last time and the handicapper has not overreacted. Cheekpieces helped that day, but no guarantees he will perform to a similar level.

Cost $120,000 as a yearling and showed promise on AW debut but hasn't progressed in three starts since including handicap debut last month. Reverts to 1m and worth noting if supported.

Scored by 4L over C&D last year off 1lb lower. Last two runs suggest all is not well and a hood is now fitted.

Sent off favourite on handicap debut but only managed to beat two home. Fair to say he did run into trouble, but it was still an underwhelming effort.

Forecasts

Austin Powers (7/4), Catoca (11/4), King of Dreams (9/2), Cryptonite (8/1), Muhajjal (10/1), Muraadef (12/1), King Oswald (25/1)

Verdict

Most of these carry a reason not to support them, but fewer negatives are stacked against the lightly raced CATOCA who may have found 1m2f too far last time. King Of Dreams would prefer further but this straight mile may be enough of a test, whilst Austin Powers looks a difficult ride and Ryan Moore may be the man to get a bit more from him.
  1. Catoca
  2. King of Dreams
  3. Austin Powers
