Best effort over hurdles since returning from a break came when finishing 2L third over an extended 2m7f at Hexham (good) a month ago. Professional jockey takes over here and he looks capable of running well once more.
Wincanton (2m4f, soft) winner in March and ran well on good-to-firm ground when 7L second subsequently. Failed to build on that when well beaten on good ground last time out and has disappointed over this trip in the past.
Four time winner for Willie Mullins but has struggled since joining this stable and a visor is applied for the first time on his return to hurdles having run over fences the last twice.
Sole success came in a maiden hurdle on good ground over three years ago. Improving with racing since joining this yard and she is worth a check int he market in this contest.
Victorious over C&D in July 2016. Only fair form since returning from a lengthy absence and others hold stronger claims in this contest.
Ten race maiden and well beaten on final three outings for Charlie Longsdon this spring. Probably best watched stepping up in trip on debut for a new yard.
Dual winner over hurdles most recently when the shock winner of this contest 12 months ago. Races off a 3lb higher mark this time around and will be looking to bounce back having pulled up at Southwell (3m, good) last time out.
Held in two starts in handicaps including when 30L fourth at Southwell (3m, good) last time out. Remains open to improvement however and no surprise if he improves markedly on that here.
Winner of four hurdle races but pulled up on six of his last seven starts. Well handicapped on his old form but others hold more obvious claims.
Put a disappointing pulled up effort behind him when finishing 23L sixth over 2m5f at Ludlow (good) in May. Well beaten on sole previous Rules outing over this distance.
Point-to-point winner over 2m4f on soft ground in March 2016. Struggled under Rules however and making his handicap debut following a 61L defeat on heavy ground at Taunton when last in action back in March.
Forecasts
Three Colours Red (9/4), Phoenix Rock (11/4), Tir Dubh (7/1), Barney From Tyanee (10/1), Courtinthemiddle (11/1), Amber Flush (12/1), Western Breeze (14/1), Live For Today (14/1), Franz Klammer (33/1), Mr Mulliner (40/1), New Kid In Town (50/1)
Top weight THREE COLOURS RED looks the pick on form and he is taken to record his second victory over hurdles in this staying handicap contest. The selection finished close up in a big field last time and can get the better of the unexposed mare Phoenix Rock who remains open to improvement despite disappointing last time. Western Breeze represents a top stable and can claim third.
