Can probably be forgiven for a couple of below par performances when last seen as they came on soft ground. Much more suited to this better surface and having been given a short break this course winner can bounce back to form today.
Races here under a 6lb penalty having won a four-runner race at Fontwell (beat Mercian King 9L) last time as easily as he liked. This is a better race but another who comes with sound claims if in the same mood.
Failed to complete a hat-trick when last seen here way back in November. Still 5lbs higher than for his last win and although he is likely to need this run, further progress is certainly possible.
Comfortably held by Royal Plaza when they met at Fontwell last time (beaten 9L). Pull in the weights should get him closer to that rival but this is a tougher race altogether and may find a couple too good.

Forecasts
Vosne Romanee (6/4), Royal Plaza (5/2), Mercian King (3/1), Pearls Legend (3/1), Oliver's Hill (7/1)
A tricky contest despite the low numbers. You can make a case of sorts for all of them. Recent winners Pearls Legend and Royal Plaza are both very much respected and are bang in-form. VOSNE ROMANEE is taken to win a tight contest having not been in love with soft ground when last seen, the previous C&D winner will relish this return to quick ground and can get back to winning ways.
