Yet to finish worse than third over C&D (33112) he looked a little lack-lustre and rusty on his return from a break over 7f last time. That run has probably done its job in terms of fitness and this return to a 1m will see him in a better light.
Another one with good C&D form (3/11) in this contest he performed poorly here last time out in a similar race and has yet to show his best in three starts at the track this year. Hard to write off around here but still above his last winning mark.
Has a string of modest efforts to his name around here (placed a few times) and put up one of his better efforts when third here on his lasts start. All of his wins have come on the AW and he's 0/20 on turf; place chance at best.
Only lightly-raced and this will be just her second try in a handicap running for a new yard after a very long absence. Likely to need this outing and nit one to be involved with for now.
Has had quite a few chances in handicaps having dropped rapidly from his opening mark. Failed to meet market expectations last time off a career-low mark and now raised 4lb for that effort and faces a stiff task on that evidence.

Forecasts
Buzz Lightyere (5/4), Straight Ash (5/2), Limerick Lord (3/1), Global Wonder (4/1), Stormbound (9/1), Valentine Mist (100/1)
The C&D winners STORMBOUND and Buzz Lightyere look to be of interest here as those which are proven on this tricky track are usually favoured. The former of that duo goes back over 1m here which will surely see him step forward on his return run with the latter needing a little more than he’s shown this year. Global Wonder therefore looks the main danger based on his good second last time out with the cheekpieces going on for the first time. Limerick Lord can be considered but he’s yet to win on turf and appears better on AW surfaces.
- Stormbound
- Global Wonder
- Buzz Lightyere
