Failed to impress in point-to-points (pulled-up on four of his six starts and well-beaten on the others), so best watched on rules debut here.
Flat winner who ran well to finish third on hurdling debut over C&D last time out. With any normal amount of progression he should be right in the mix.
Point-to-point winner but bumper/hurdles form so far has marked him out as likely to be more of a chasing project in time.
Well-beaten in two starts under rules so far and failed to complete in both point-to-points, so looks an unappealing option on second start over hurdles.
Yet to show much in bumpers, in novice hurdles on in one run on the Flat, and following this run handicapping seems likely to be the plan.
Pulled-up on both starts over hurdles so far and impossible to build a case for on all known form, including bumpers.
Reverts to maiden from handicap company having struggle to make his mark in that sphere, though his previous form in these races means he has to be respected.
Multiple winner on the Flat for Andrew Balding but has only won a Jumpers' Bumper since joining this yard. Needs to build on fourth in a maiden at Bangor last time here.
Ran a good race to be second on hurdling debut at Wincanton in October, though only run on the Flat since was slightly disappointing.
Forecasts
Cotton Club (6/4), Royal Ruby (13/8), Swashbuckle (9/2), Black Prince (8/1), Drovers Lane (16/1), Pandinus Imperator (50/1), Auld Sod (50/1), It's Grand (80/1), Reaplee (100/1)
This can go to COTTON CLUB, who finished third on debut over obstacles over C&D when last seen, and with any amount of progression he should be able to get off the mark in a race where a number of the contenders don't look up to winning a maiden. Swashbuckle was useful on the Flat and could have more to offer over hurdles and looks the main danger, while Royal Ruby returns to maiden company having struggled in handicaps.
