Came with a strong late run to grab a well handicapped rival over C&D two weeks ago. 5lb rise is offset by the riders claim here and has similar prospects once again if in the same mood.
Has been paying the price for winning four on the bounce late last year and has seemed to be in the handicappers grip. Showed a bit more at Ayr (1m, good) last time when not getting the best of runs. Will be dangerous now if she can build on that.
Ran well at a big price over C&D last time when finishing second of 12. Might have gone very close to winning that had she got a clear run through and has to be respected here off just 1lb higher.
Lightly-raced four-year-old who hasn't won since her debut. Looks to have slowly been coming to hand this year with her two runs and has fallen to quite an attractive mark. Riders claim helps and she could go well down in class here.
Has returned in good form this year, winning at Doncaster in April before three respectable efforts in defeat subsequently. Went close at Chester last time and gets to race off the same mark here. This requires a career best but she may be up to it.
Pretty consistent filly that generally runs her race. She's won over this C&D but often shapes like she needs a little further than this now. Likely to run well but may find one or two too quick for her.
Performed well in a Newmarket maiden over this trip on good to firm in 2016 and went on to win a Kempton maiden in good style in August last year. Doesn't look the easiest to train and well beaten twice since though. Starts out for new yard.
Thriving in-foal mare who has won two of her last three. Slowly climbing up the weights as a result. This race is much tougher than the one she won at Catterick last time but respected all the same.
Landed 7f Redcar maiden last summer but struggled in better company later in the term. Had two runs to blow away the cobwebs this year and shaped with plenty of promise over 6f at Ayr (good to firm) last time when needing further. Player here.
Forecasts
Dark Intention (7/2), Starlight Romance (7/2), Belle Meade (5/1), Castle Hill Cassie (6/1), Lady In Question (7/1), Whatsthemessage (7/1), Brockholes (10/1), First Dance (18/1), Caridade (28/1)
This is very competitive with a good mix of in-form fillies and some potentially well handicapped ones too. Caridade and BELLE MEADE both fall into the latter category and are weighted to go well. Preference of the two is for Andrew Balding's filly who looks to be on a very temping mark now that she drops in class. Last time out winners Brockholes and Starlight Romance are both very much respected and should go well once again in a race where you can make a case for plenty.
