Improved on debut effort to win with some authority at Windsor (6f good to firm) three weeks ago. Life more difficult under a penalty here but won that in a decent time and is very much a player once again.
Fetched 60,000 gns as a yearling and is a colt by Australian sire Sepoy and half-brother to 6f juvenile winner Enjazaat. Likely sort on paper and represents a top team on debut.
Zoffany colt that cost just £30,000. Half-brother to several winners and dam won over 7f as a two-year-old. Yard also runs Coolagh magic and Angel Sarah so interesting to see how the market compares them.
Son of Distorted Humor that fetched 170,000 gns. Related to several winners and yard very much know how to get one ready for debut. Market a good guide to expectations and respected.
Piccolo colt, 8th foal. Brother to 5f-7f winners Tiddliwinks and Pelmanism. Dam was a winner as a two-year-old. Family tend to improve with age but respected on racecourse debut.
Dark Angel filly who's price rose from 30,000 gns as a foal to £80,000 as a yearling. Has plenty of speed in her pedigree and is of interest on debut for powerful yard that also run Coolagh Magic and Gabrial The One.
By Sir Percy out of a dam who won as a juvenile over 7f and who stayed 1m2f. Disappointed over the minimum trip on debut and likely needs further still.
Forecasts
Dunkerron (13/8), Royal Big Night (5/2), Three Card Trick (7/1), Coolagh Magic (7/1), Gabrial The One (7/1), Angel Sarah (12/1), Maggies Passion (28/1)
Of the newcomers both Coolagh Magic and Royal Big Night make plenty of appeal on paper. Richard Fahey has three runners in the race so the market should point us in the direction of their prospects. This could well go to DUNKERRON though who won with some authority at Windsor and the time of that race was useful. He is taken to win again.
