Group 2 winner here as a four-year-old and gained his first win since in a Listed race over 5f here in May. That's the trip he appears best suited to these days and likely to struggle to concede weight to all these rivals.

Group 3 winner in France for his previous yard but form tailed off towards the end of last season and he's shown very little in two runs for this yard. Beaten in a Group 3 at Leopardstown last time and likely to struggle again.

9/1
Six-time Group race winner and two-time C&D winner who won this race in 2015. His better efforts are becoming less and less frequent with age though and seen to better effect in softer ground.

5/1
Group 3 C&D winner in 2016 but has largely been used to ensure a strong gallop for stablemates in Group races in recent times including two starts this season. Every chance he can make his presence felt back down in class here.

Age: 4|  Weight: 9-7| J: Robbie Colgan| T: S Lavery| OR:  98
33/1
Not won since his maiden success at Naas in 2016. Has found Group company too tough in all recent starts and probably still out of his depth in this company despite the slight drop in class.

11/2
Won first two starts, both over C&D in 2015 including a Group 3 contest but has failed to win since. Produced an improved effort in Group 3 class at Leopardstown last time out and not discounted back down at what would appear to be his optimum trip.

Fleet Reviewt8
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-0| J: R L Moore| T: A P O'Brien| OR:  108| CD
1/1
Two-time C&D winner who was only narrowly denied by stablemate in an end of season Group 1 at Newmarket last year. Found Group 1 company too tough at Ascot last time out but he warrants plenty of respect back down in class here with Moore on board.

Sole win came at Dundalk and struggled on his only try at pattern level when well beaten at Leopardstown earlier in the month. Likely to find this trip too sharp and others preferred.

Sagittarius Risingt52
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-0| J: Rory Cleary| T: C W J Farrell| OR:  81
50/1
Won a maiden on his sixth start last time out at Gowran Park on heavy ground but would have to improve markedly on that effort to have any sort of say up at this level and looks up against it.

Forecasts

Fleet Review (1/1), Intelligence Cross (5/1), Smash Williams (11/2), Ardhoomey (9/1), Gordon Lord Byron (9/1), Full Moon (12/1), Fas (20/1), Mr Scarlet (33/1), Sagittarius Rising (50/1)

Verdict

Two of Aidan O'Brien's runners look closely matched on form here and it may be worth siding with the perceived second-string INTELLIGENCE CROSS given that he's sure to appreciate the huge drop in class here. Moore opts for Fleet Review who is a two-time course and distance winner and more than capable at this level while Smash Williams may not have won for some time but shaped like a return to form was imminent last time out in Group class.
  1. Intelligence Cross
  2. Fleet Review
  3. Smash Williams
