$450.000 Speightstown colt from a good family that included US Grade 2 winning miler Rule. Stable 8-19 with this age group here since 2014 so any market strength needs to be taken seriously.
Dark Angel colt, cost €115,000 as a yearling. Looked green on debut and then simply awkward here two months ago. Cheekpieces on this time so doubtful he has matured in the interim.
Cape Cross half-brother to useful sprinters Marsha and Judicial. Stable adopt a patient approach so he would be expected to improve for a run. However the trainer's 8-18 record with this age group in the past five seasons warrants a market check.
Dark Angel colt cost 105,000 gns as a foal increasing to £250,000 as a yearling. Plenty of speed in the pedigree but his debut will not live long in the memory. Probably lost the race in the stalls that day so improvement has to be considered likely
40,000gns purchase at Tatts Craven Breeze-Ups last year, dam only an all-weather maiden winner but there's stamina in the pedigree and he showed plenty of promise on Newbury debut, staying on nicely late in the piece.
Gelded son of Society Rock bought for 25,000 gns at the yearling sales and was well beaten at long odds on both starts. Seems a more likely type for a handicap.
Iffraaj filly that cost €50,000 as a yearling. Looked in need of the experience on debut, but did not show enough to earn consideration in what looks a tougher race.
Claimed out of George Baker's yard after finishing second in a Lingfield seller. Much more to do this time.
Half-sister by Helmet to the yard's smart sprinter Aeolus. One to note given the winners in her pedigree, but she failed to show enough on debut to indicate today might be her day.
Lord Shanakil filly who is a sister to Grand Spirit who won upto 7f. Dam was a maiden but stayed well. Wore a hood on debut when last of 13 and blinkers added this time

Algaffaal (9/4), Mubhij (5/2), Magistrate (7/2), Weekday (4/1), Rock Boy Grey (9/2), Bea Ryan (13/2), Molls Memory (14/1), Madison (20/1), The Bearfighter (25/1), Broken Time (25/1), Cuddington (33/1), Kavora (50/1), Wicklow Warrior (50/1), Top Rock Talula (100/1)
Mubhij and Rock Boy Grey are likely candidates on form and granted a bit of improvement. The former was restless in the stalls before underperforming and a line can be drawn through that run. Nevertheless, the owner's colours are also sported by ALGAFFAAL who is a well-bred newcomer for a powerful yard with an excellent record here with this age group. The $450,000 purchase may be up to winning what appears an average contest.
