Behind Mia Tesoro last time and something to find. Stable 2-40 in recent weeks so that cannot be considered a given.
Without a win since September 2016, but has gone close on both starts for this yard including a Nottingham third to Mia Tesoro. Makes AW debut.
Fourth to Mia Tesoro on stable debut when she looked like the one to take from the race. Hit a flat spot at a crucial stage and that run, plus the stiffer track, should yield further improvement.
Winner under a well-judged ride last time to end a long losing sequence. Acts on AW surfaces but will need to improve further to add to her spoils
Two-time Group 1 winner in South Africa in 2016 but has failed to win since in seven starts for her new yard. Showed she retains ability in a York Group 3 when third to Coronet and well-ahead on official ratings.
Winner of five races has been placed in a weak Listed contest and looks a step below this standard
Highly rated filly was runner-up to Royal Ascot winner Agrotera on debut. Made short work of a weak bunch at Goodwood and her lack of experience would be a concern against these battle hardened rivals.
Winner of a sub-standard Oaks trial At Goodwood and the three that followed her home have been beaten since. That said she won with plenty in hand and improved for this longer trip.
Looked out of her depth in similar company at Newbury. Has form on this surface but still does not look good enough on what she has shown.
Forecasts
Smart Call (7/4), Four White Socks (11/4), Magnolia Springs (7/2), Mia Tesoro (10/1), Maid To Remember (11/1), Rasima (20/1), Snowy Winter (33/1), Company Asset (33/1), Glade (40/1)
This is not the strongest of Listed races and presents SMART CALL with a good opportunity to open her account for Sir Michael Stoute. Her York third to Coronet stands head and shoulders above anything her rivals have achieved. The only concern would be her effectiveness on this surface, but that applies equally to her main dangers Four White Socks, Maid To Remember and Magnolia Springs. Mia Tesoro has AW form and won in similar grade at Nottingham when a few of these were behind. However, a lot fell nicely for her that day and she held a fitness advantage, so she looks more vulnerable this time.
- Smart Call
- Four White Socks
- Maid To Remember
