Impressive in winning reappearance but disappointed in the Zetland Gold Cup. Possible he may bounce back on AW but stable quiet at present.

Generally consistent and makes debut at this track. Takes a drop in trip which doesn't automatically seen to suit and stable not in the best of form.

Had some tough asks in three starts this year, running in the Lincoln, the Spring Cup and Listed company. Yet to race here but has shown good ability on AW elsewhere but looks a touch high in the weights at present.

Very progressive at the start of the year with three wins and three seconds and wasn't disgraced when short of room late on off new mark. Handicapper may have caught up with him but likely to be competitive again.

Highly tried recently and gets a welcome drop in class. However remains 5lb higher than last winning mark and others look better handicapped.

Bounced back to form at Haydock and now has first run since wind surgery. First run at this track but has showed a liking for an AW surface previously. Looks a leading contender.

Disappointed at Chelmsford when seemingly not handling the track following Wolverhampton win and needs to show improvement off new mark. Others preferred.

Dangerous AW performer at his best but looks a touch high in the weights at present. Likely to run his race but others may be better handicapped.

Close second over C&D two starts back but this is tougher and well below that level at Chelmsford last time.

Made all on his last two starts on turf and now races off 7lb higher mark. Will find life tougher in this size field and stronger race.

Has shown enough in four starts for new stable to be competitive but 8lb higher than last winning mark and makes a belated AW debut.

Last four runs at Chelmsford have yielded two wins and two seconds. More to do off career high mark and unproven at this track but is progressive.

Has been set some tough tasks and ran well enough over C&D last time. This is tougher though and others preferred.

Got caught wide when making an eye catching fourth at Sandown last month on seasonal reappearance. Yet to race on this track but lightly raced and progressive and has more upside than most.

Forecasts

Humbert (11/4), Dark Red (13/2), Constantino (7/1), Leader's Legacy (15/2), Leader Writer (8/1), Poet's Society (11/1), Fire Brigade (14/1), Fastar (20/1), King's Pavilion (20/1), My Target (25/1), Nonios (25/1), Battle Of Marathon (25/1), C Note (33/1), Ballard Down (33/1)

Verdict

It may be worth taking a chance with FASTAR who is progressive and made a good reappearance in a run that can be upgraded after being caught very wide. It's worth taking a chance he'll act on this surface with a similar hope for Fire Brigade who could show further improvement following a wind operation. Humbert didn't get the clearest of runs last time and is a likeable and progressive type.
  1. Fastar
  2. Fire Brigade
  3. Humbert
