Useful on the Flat and ended run of second-place finishes over timber when winning at Stratford 18 days ago over similar trip. Carries penalty but should be in the mix again.
Gamut gelding, is a half-brother to two winners, including smart hurdler Jack Coo. Scored at the third attempt in a point-to-point last month and should be going close again.

Fairly useful on the Flat for Hugo Palmer, though didn't achieve much on hurdling bow recently at Stratford and has lots to find with Aardwolf on that evidence.

Won once in four starts on the Flat for Dermot Weld (1m1½f, maiden), shaped well on hurdling debut in a first-time tongue tie (retained) when second at Southwell recently.
Struggled in three starts so far and finished well beaten in two recent outings at Warwick. Others make more appeal in this.
Showed some ability in bumpers for previous yard but commands only watching brief here having fallen at the first on hurdles bow at Bangor recently.
Little impact in maidens on the Flat in 2013 for Paul Cole and was tailed off last May at Warwick, his only sighting in the last five years.

Talkin Man gelding is a half-brother to fair hurdlers Ballymacduff and Doof. Inconsistent in point-to-points and doesn't make great significant appeal here.

Shaped with some promise in Aintree bumper last month, capable of improving on that now tackling hurdles for the first time.
Has won a couple of weak point-to-points but struggled on hurdles bow at Uttoxeter a week ago and looks one to give a watching brief to for now.

Promise in both her sole bumper run and her first effort over hurdles at Ludlow last month. Ultimately needs to do much better however and ran out last time at Stratford.
Better effort here over 2m4f 16 days ago on second start over timber. Can likely do better in time, not certain drop to 2m will make telling difference here though.

Modest maiden on the Flat for Jim Bolger in Ireland, and unable to make an impact in two starts over hurdles so far. Array of headgear goes on now.

Forecasts

Ezanak (7/4), Aardwolf (2/1), Equus Pandora (3/1), Golden Friday (18/1), Just For Tara (25/1), Well Said (25/1), Another Drama (28/1), Darlyn (33/1), Banish (33/1), Gaucho (40/1), Lamh Ar Lamh (100/1), Aine's Choice (100/1), Laughing Musketeer (200/1)

Verdict

Ezanak made a sound start for Dan Skelton over hurdles at Southwell recently and should be sharper for the run. He can go well on this second start after a wind operation. AARDWOLF got off the mark over these obstacles in nice style at Stratford and might just prove up to defying the penalty. They looks the standout candidates, with Another Drama and Equus Pandora also of some interest.
