Seemingly given an easier mission over C&D this month when dropped in grade but still failed to beat a rival home having made running. Plenty to prove after three runs for this yard.

Winner of a jumpers' bumper at Newcastle in March, a while since we've seen the best of him over hurdles however and returns from three-month layoff needing to have more enthusiasm.

Scoop The Pott225
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-4| J: R Johnson| T: P Hobbs & J White| OR:  131| CD

Twice scored over C&D last year, didn't take to chasing at Huntingdon in November when last spotted but could resume progress back over timber with Johnson returning in the saddle.

In good form of late, going very close at Market Rasen before winning over this C&D early this month. Career-high mark must be defied now but clearly on good terms with himself.

A £150,000 purchase who looked the part when scoring on UK and hurdles debut at this track in October (2m4f, good) and knocked on the door again in fourth start at Aintree last month on return from a break, should run well.
6

Rolling Maulv6
Age: 10|  Weight: 10-9| J: S Bowen| T: P & M Bowen| OR:  122| CD
4/1
Rejuvenated last summer but running on the Flat where he won three times. That improvement didn't appear to carry over back in this sphere and he ran poorly after a break back over hurdles; not one to trust despite positive Ffos Las run last week.

Forecasts

Sky Pirate (5/4), Theatrebar (7/2), Rolling Maul (4/1), Scoop The Pot (7/1), Knight Of Noir (14/1), Nautical Nitwit (20/1)

Verdict

Sky Pirate was an eye-catcher on his return at Aintree last month and should have more to offer but he'll have to work hard to deny the thriving THEATREBAR, who won over C&D this month already and has gone up only 2lb for this troubles. That might be underestimating him. Scoop The Pot has a pair of C&D wins behind him last year and is not to be easily overlooked returning from an absence and back over timber with Johnson on board.
  1. Theatrebar
  2. Scoop The Pot
  3. Sky Pirate
