A half-brother to bumper winner and useful handicapper on the Flat, Cullentry Royal, so makes some appeal on breeding. Good start in C&D bumper on debut at the start of the month, travelling well and taking second, more to come.

Pelder gelding purchased for €5,800 at the sales as a three-year-old. Well beaten in Huntingdon bumper (finished last) in January for Mick Appleby and hard to fancy starting for new trainer here.

Half-brother to bumper winner/useful chaser War of The World and made it seventh him lucky with point-to-point win in Ireland in the spring before joining current handler.

Apple Tree gelding. First foal, dam is an unraced half-sister to useful hurdlers and chasers Violin Davis & Synthe Davis. Chased home improving filly on debut over C&D recently on debut and will likely have more to give.

Comprehensively beaten in three bumpers to date, will need recent wind operation to have had a positive effect. Watching brief.

Pulled up on debut at Huntingdon but had excuses as the saddle slipped at an early stage. That run is difficult to assess but as his SP was 40/1, it's safe to suggest expectations weren't too high. Probably safest to just take notes.
Inexpensive Overbury mare, dam was a winner over hurdles at 2m. Makes debut and betting can prove best guide to expectations.

Multiplex filly, plenty stamina in pedigree, finished third in a point-to-point in April, makes first foray under rules here.

Beaten favourite in bumpers at Wincanton and Newton Abbot already, held every chance in most recent of those but unable to sustain effort when push came to shove. Chance again but likely to be priced accordingly.

Forecasts

Allez Karakoz (11/10), Rose Crown (3/1), Scaffold (9/2), Push The Tempo (6/1), Complywithme (16/1), Elviz (25/1), Copper Prince (50/1), Flaka (100/1), Over To Bree (100/1)

Verdict

Rose Crown has already let favourite backers down twice in as many starts and her finishing effort at Newton Abbot last time was a bit of a worry. She clearly is well enough though of however and it is too soon to be discounting her chance. That said, SCAFFOLD made a good fist of things on debut here in chasing home a useful sort and might be up to going one better now with that experience under her belt. Allez Karakoz also has positive C&D form to lean on and is in the mix along with Push The Tempo.
