Descendant¹⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 9-3| J: Shane Foley| T: K J Condon| OR: 65

5/1

Gelded son of Paco Boy and a half-brother to useful Flat and jumps performer Charm School. Put three dismal starts behind him when finishing fourth of 14 beaten 1¼L in a bunch ending to a Roscommon maiden claimer recently. Capable of having his say.

Form: 657D

(2)

Eadbhard^h⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-1| J: T P Madden⁽⁵⁾| T: S M Duffy| OR: 61

6/1

Fairly solid and consistent in six starts since last month. Takes in a lot of racing and possible he may hit the frame again.

Form: 243226

(6)

Viscount Wilson^b²⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 9-1| J: Colin Keane| T: G M Lyons| OR: 68

6/4

Finished second of nine in a Hamilton raid last month before appearing a little one pace in a Navan handicap earlier this month but could go well in this company.

Form: 455-825

(3)

Time Queen²³

Age: 3| Weight: 9-0| J: Ronan Whelan| T: J M Barrett

13/2

Camacho filly out of a Galileo mare. Related to decent handicappers Humidor and Our Boy Jack. Second of seven in a Listowel maiden on debut last year but soon weakened on disappointing seasonal start earlier this month. Worth a market check.

Form: 2-7

(7)

Sea The Spray²⁷⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 8-13| J: Ben Coen⁽⁷⁾| T: A Slattery

25/1

Second-rate performances in three career starts when last seen in September, well beaten on each occasion. Others hold stronger profiles.

Form: 980-

(4)

Maricruz^h¹⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 8-12| J: R P Downey| T: J C McConnell| OR: 63

4/1

Well beaten and never nearer in two juvenile starts last term but improved performance on return to the track in a Roscommon maiden claimer finishing third of 14 earlier this month. Place claims again.

Form: 64-3

Forecasts

Viscount Wilson (6/4), Maricruz (4/1), Descendant (5/1), Eadbhard (6/1), Time Queen (13/2), Magical Link (8/1), Sea The Spray (25/1)

The Ger Lyons-trained VISCOUNT WILSON is worth persevering with here and could get an all-important toe in to the race from Time Queen coming through late seeing off the attentions of potential improver Descendant along with the solid and consistent Eadbhard who can hit the frame here in the opener.
