Has shown some signs of ability but not enough to warrant consideration under this weight. Others look more convincing.
Half-sister to four winners has looked green on each start. Takes a strong hold and although her last run suggests she is making some progress, her refusal to settle remains a concern.
Seven-race maiden who has plenty to prove after dropping out tamely in his last four starts. Cheekpieces fitted this time and stable took this with a well backed runner in 2013.
Soon in trouble on all three starts. Makes his handicap debut off a mark which cannot be described as attractive, however the stable did win this last year.
Still a maiden after 13 starts but she is consistent, arrives in form and on a mark which appears manageable. Good young rider has a 13-88 career strike rate.
Showed little for David Simcock last year and two runs over 1m4f this term have been disastrous. Yet to race over a trip this short and cheekpieces now tried.
Well treated on last year's form but signs are still needed that he is as good as he once was.
Has barely beaten a rival in three wide margin defeats. No positives can be taken from those efforts. Makes handicap debut in first-time cheekpieces.
Forecasts
Madame Jo Jo (13/8), Party Dancer (11/4), Avenging Red (7/1), Bbob Alula (15/2), Telltale (15/2), Elite Shadow (14/1), Charlie Dove (20/1), Bob's Girl (33/1)
A poor race which will take little winning and may see reward for MADAM JO JO's consistency. The filly is the only runner who appears worthy of her current mark on current form and the booking of a sought after claimer makes her even more attractive. Party Dancer is the joker in the pack as she has refused to settle in her three races. She is bred to be better than we have seen and a draw in the middle of the pack may be helpful. It is hard to make a case for the rest, but as ever in a contest of this nature the market should be informative and favourites have taken all five previous runnings.
- Madame Jo Jo
- Party Dancer
- Avenging Red
