2014 Scottish National winner shows he retains his enthusiasm when landing a Kelso hunter chase on ground softer than ideal. Has run creditably since and incredibly well-handicapped if this proves enough of a stamina test.
Made an excellent return over 3m2f and the "bounce factor" may have accounted for a terrible run next time.
Useful horse under Rules a few years ago and winner of a point-to-point on good ground in April. Made late errors when tiring on return here and although he should do better, this is a much stronger race.
The 'winner' of a 3m Perth void race fiasco in September, who thankfully managed to win a battle on his next start at Kelso. Made an early exit when backed and cheekpieces reapplied last time. Stable do well here.
Sole success came over an extended 2m7f in a maiden hurdle contest at here in April last year. Good second off this mark last time and of interest once more having bypassed firm ground at Market Rasen last Friday.
Overall record is 3-42 but he is 2-7 here and that raises optimism he may bounce back from a poor effort at Cartmel.
Appeared not to stay this trip here last time and his best efforts have come on softer ground than this.
Has threatened to win on several occasions but he remains a 23-race maiden. He has an unattractive completion rate over fences, but his last run over hurdles confirms this track suits his obvious lack of pace.
Triple winning pointer failed to pass a very game winner here last week. This will be tougher now up in grade off a higher mark, but he is open to greater progress than a lot of these.

Forecasts
Classical Milano (4/1), Al Co (4/1), Red Giant (4/1), Chanceiton (9/2), Talkonthestreet (5/1), Chu Chu Percy (13/2), Christmas Twenty (9/1), Imperial Prince (25/1), Quick Brew (28/1), Amilliontimes (50/1)
Despite topweight Al Co looks generously treated having beaten a 139-rated rival during the winter and splitting two higher rated rivals last time. The only worry is that 3m, even around here, may not provide enough of a test. Classical Milano sidestepped a tougher challenge at Market Rasen and looks ready to win soon, but the vote goes to RED GIANT whose trainer normally makes her visits pay when travelling this far North. The Kelso winner was expected to build on a promising return last time but unseated his rider early. His jumping is usually sound and compensation awaits soon if not here.
