Didn't have the best of winters over hurdles but has dropped to a pretty attractive mark as a result. Had a spin on the flat two weeks ago so fitness should be no issue and interesting if money arrives for him.
Still much higher in the weights that when winning at Down Royal last summer. Didn't cut much ice on return to action back at that venue in March. Had another short break and whilst these conditions should suit, he's still high in the weights.
Really flourishing since joining this yard and has won her last three on the bounce. Value for more than the winning margin over C&D last time and ha only been nudged up 4lbs. Every chance of going in again and strong claims.
Beaten very quickly and faded badly at Uttoxeter (2m4f, good) last month on handicap debut. Needs to do more to be involved and this drop back in trip looks a good move.
Won a maiden hurdle at Ayr (2m, good) two starts back but couldn't follow-up here (2m4f) last time. Makes handicap debut today off a realistic mark and Brian Hughes keeps the faith. Drops back in trip.
Still 3lb higher than for his last win at Musselburgh in December. Has a good record at this track so no surprise were he to put up a better performance now back at this venue.
Backed up a solid run at Musselburgh when staying on strongly to down stablemate Hey Listen at here in April over C&D (soft). Up 6lb, but progressive chances once again.
Forecasts
Golden Jeffrey (13/8), Morning With Ivan (11/4), Triolet (7/1), The Compeller (15/2), Shankill Castle (10/1), Costa Percy (10/1), Wot A Shot (14/1)
A tight little race this and market support for Golden Jeffrey would be worth noting as he is well handicapped in this sphere. This may well go to one of the last time out winners though with The Compeller and MORNING WITH IVAN both arriving with plenty in their favour. Preference is for the last named who won with a bit up her sleeve last time and she can make it four on the bounce.
