Solid effort on debut at Tramore when a never nearer staying-on fifth to Nana Joan when last seen a year ago, needs to find a bit more on belated return.
By a French NH sire out of a Pasternak mare, finished sixth of 16 in bumper at Killarney (2m1f, good) on debut some 13 months ago. Off since.
Vinnie Roe gelding. Dam, lightly raced in bumpers/over hurdles, closely related to smart bumper winner Turnandgo. Makes appeal on paper, watch betting.
Son of Turgeon purchased for €70,000 in June 2016. Third of 11 in bumper at Thurles (2m, heavy) in February. Represents top yard and wouldn't need to improve much to land this. Tongue tie added.
Beaten a long way in a couple of bumpers last summer. No joy in point-to-points this year (failed to complete five times) though did shape better in Punchestown bumper this month. Still left plenty to find.
Yeats mare. Dam, placed in bumpers/maiden hurdler, half-sister to fair hurdler/fairly useful chaser Lord Redsgirth. Lots of stamina in pedigree, wears hood on debut.
King's Theatre mare, sister to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser Wolf Shield. Dam unraced half-sister to very smart staying hurdler Beer Goggles. Obvious credentials for these connections on debut.
Thrice-raced maiden, sent off 66/1 and finished fifth of 13 in bumper at Wexford (2m4f, good) last month. More needed.
Fair in a number of point-to-point starts recently and has Imperial Commander and Waiting Patiently as relatives. Watching brief for now however unless vibes are strong.
Bumper debut at Tramore in April 2017 (2m, heavy) was quite promising but three backwards steps since in this sphere and over hurdles. Doesn't appeal now.

Forecasts
Jolucy (7/4), Nearly Man (2/1), Home For Puck (8/1), Watching Brief (10/1), Shelcomeonfordrun (11/1), Last One (12/1), Mossroe (18/1), Sicario Jack (20/1), Tina Marie (25/1), Blue Dollars (25/1), Game Risk (33/1)
Jolucy promises to be suited by this trip with stamina very much to the fore in her pedigree and is a clear contender on debut for the champion trainer but NEARLY MAN might be able to put racecourse experience to good use now sporting a tongue-tie and take this for Lisa O'Neill and Gordon Elliott. They make the most appeal ahead of newcomer Mossroe and Last One, who shaped better at Wexford recently.
- Nearly Man
- Jolucy
- Mossroe
