Flat winner, finished third of 14 in novice hurdle at Wexford (2m, good) earlier this month, back up in distance here but entitled to get involved.
Unable to get off the mark in 15 attempts over timber, well beaten off in a handicap over 2m at Thurles when last spotted 226 days ago.
€47,000 as a three-year-old by Oscar out of a Persian Bold mare related to the likes of tough sorts Big Zeb and Our Duke. Makes debut for Joseph O'Brien.
Tailed off on all five starts under rules (two bumpers and three hurdles). Wears a first-time tongue-tie now but looks an unlikely contender on form.
Showed plenty promise in maiden hurdles last year at up to 2m or thereabouts, perhaps needed the run on reappearance last month at Ballinrobe when tackling longer trip and too soon to dismiss.
Soft ground Flat winner at Salisbury for Ed Walker in September 2016. Lightly-raced over timber for champion trainer, good effort at Killarney on reappearance over 2m and finished fifth since over this trip at Ballinrobe. More to offer.
Finished fourth of 20 in novice hurdle at Down Royal (2m, good to firm) last time out having been supported in the market, contender again.
Craigsteel gelding is a half-brother to modest 2m4f hurdle winner Rory's Pleasure. Stamina on the dam side.
Twice made frame in maiden hurdles at Clonmel and Tramore lately over similar trips, gets Barry Geraghty on top here and rates as a contender for top prize.
Oscar gelding out of a Taipan mare related to sturdy types Big Zeb and Our Duke. Finished ninth of 12 in novice hurdle at Tramore (2m5f, good to firm) on debut recently. More needed.
Maiden winner on the AW at Dundalk (1m2½f) in January, fair form in handicaps at that track since without scoring, makes hurdles bow and market appears likely to prove sound judge of chances.

Forecasts
Glorious Legend (13/8), Judgement Day (2/1), Smitty Bacall (9/2), Dinons (6/1), Glan Y Gors (12/1), All For Nothing (16/1), Can You Believe It (16/1), Zaofu (25/1), Brog Deas Nua (28/1), Star Of Oscar (33/1), Mister Runner Man (50/1), Clarior Ex Obscuro (50/1)
Glorious Legend likely will have more to offer for the Closutton team before too long passes but he does require some improved form currently. Judgement Day should be on the premises again after a solid effort at Down Royal recently but SMITTY BACALL can trump the pair of them. He's gone close at Clonmel and Tramore recently and should benefit from having Barry Geraghty's presence on his back here.
- Smitty Bacall
- Judgement Day
- Glorious Legend
