His overall record is rather up-and-down since he landed a small field novice around a year ago. Failed to improve on handicap debut last time off the back of a long absence and steps back up in trip now with something to prove.
Her first victory is proving rather illusive but has performed with credit of late and should go well again although she tends to run well fresh and this run comes quick enough. Has a top rider on though and not one to ignore.
Surprising that he saw the 2m5f out as well as he did on his handicap debut (showed improved form) but that run did come on a speed favouring track (Ludlow). Emerged with credit from that run and has scope to do better off a 3lb higher mark.
Individual that given his connections may be worth watching in the market despite the fact he's run poorly of late in three Flat outings. Pulled-up when last seen in this sphere he's not a sound proposition but the market will guide on his chance.
Had failed to even hint at any ability prior to his last run at Towcester where over 2m3f he did at least show some ability. Sent into handicaps now his mark looks initially on the high side and others appeal more.
Given how few runs she's had it looks as though she has been hard to train (this will be only her 6th start). Ran poorly returning from an absence last time but given the jockey booking she's not totally written off; bred to stay further.
Recently clocked up his 100th career start but doesn't really look in much form at the moment and reported to have bled when running on the Flat last time. Losing hurdles run stretches back a long way but is well handicapped on old form.
Never won on the Flat in Ireland (with John Oxx) and given a wind op before running for this yard. Has so far shown very little in novice hurdles on soft/heavy but now goes handicapping on a sounder surface in first-time cheekpieces.
Juvenile hurdle winner on his third start in that sphere but only seen once more over hurdles upped in grade before going back to the Flat (ran some solid races). Shaped better than first glance back over hurdles recently; interesting off same mark.
Modest on the Flat (maiden) and yet to really show much over hurdles either despite the handicapper now dropping him to a career-low mark. Best watched.

Forecasts
Sea Of Mystery (5/4), St John's (9/2), Layerthorpe (6/1), Marvellous Monty (6/1), Libby T Valance (8/1), Canford Thompson (10/1), Visandi (10/1), Grams And Ounces (14/1), King Alfonso (14/1), Golden Sandstorm (14/1), Seniergues (16/1), Rasasee (25/1), Change Ur Tune (33/1)
There a one or two in this that are expected to come on for their last starts with a couple of others that are bubbling under and will be of interest if there is any market interest. ST JOHN’S certainly showed that he could win a handicap on the back of his Ludlow performance with Sea Of Mystery from a yard that can do little wrong (Dan Skelton) very much respected now that he goes handicapping on a better surface with headgear on. Canford Thompson is interesting off the same mark as he ran last time with improvement expected with Libby T Valance and Visandi worth noting in the market.
- St John's
- Canford Thompson
