Age: 8| Weight: 12-3| J: Charlie Hammond⁽⁵⁾| T: Mrs Stella Barclay| OR: 122| D

11/2

A change of tactics and the fitting of a visor saw him turn in an improved display on his last start for Micky Hammond. Joined this yard two weeks later for £13,500 and now needs a career best to follow-up off 11lb higher.

Form: 34244-1

Morning Herald⁴⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 11-12| J: R Johnson| T: M Keighley| OR: 117

6/1

Well beaten on both runs back from an absence. Makes her chasing debut off a declining mark, but hard to see her capitalising at present.

Form: 3120/0-9

Blagapar⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 11-8| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: Dr R D P Newland| OR: 113

2/5

Due to race off 5lb higher in future following last week's encouraging display. He made a couple of late errors when tiring, but he will be sharper for the run and the shorter trip helps.

Form: 2114/82

General Picton^t1²¹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-12| J: David Bass| T: K Bailey & M Nicholls| OR: 103

16/1

Looks very much a work in progress and hard to know how he has earned his current official rating. Tackles fences for the first time.

Form: 9-094

Forecasts

Blagapar (2/5), Free Range (11/2), Morning Herald (6/1), River Of Intrigue (14/1), General Picton (16/1)

Free Range makes his stable debut under a challenging weight, whilst River Of Intrigue has squandered attractive opportunities in the past. As a result BLAGAPAR appears to have a straightforward task following his efforts here last Friday when he made smooth headway only to make late errors when tiring over a longer trip. He goes up 5lb next time and so he needs to make the most of this opportunity.
