Pretty consistent performer who likes good ground. Ran well when second and Ludlow (won that race last year) last month. Nudged up 1lb for that and whilst he likely to run well, may find one or two too good.

Bolted up on handicap debut over hurdles at Fontwell (2m1½f, good to firm) back in August off a 5lb lower mark. Had a spin on the AW at Kempton two weeks ago that should have blown away the cobwebs and of obvious interest here with conditions ideal.

Hasn't won wince way back in 2014 and his mark is gradually falling as a result. Hard to be confident of a major upturn in fortunes having again been outpaced at Ludlow last time. Stronger in the market there though so clearly showing more.

Enterprisingly ridden by today's rider when scoring a half length success at Kempton in April. Struggled off this 6lb higher mark over the same C&D last time and a similar story is likely here.

Hunter chase winner here earlier in the year in very different conditions. First run for this yard when beaten at odds-on in a selling hurdle at Ffos Las (2m, good). No surprise were he to prove capable off this mark at some point.

Useful sort on the Flat who won over hurdles in France and looked all set to go close when falling at Southwell last time. Jumping and completions in general have become a bit of an issue. Easy to oppose but may run better than odds suggest.

Winner on the Flat and over hurdles for previous connections in France. Made an encouraging handicap debut at Kempton (2m, good) last month when staying on for third. Should build on that now and is a player for sure in this field.

Former Jessica Harrington inmate who won a maiden claimer on the Flat in Ireland. Failed to beat a rival on handicap debut for this yard at Newton Abbot (2m1f, good) last month and impossible to fancy based on that until showing more.

Had been mixing chasing and hurdling when last seen back in mid-summer last year. On a fair mark based on his form from then but may well need this run to be cherry ripe. Market a good guide on return.

Improved form on the flat since switching to this yard a couple of months ago. Is on a decent hurdles mark based on his form when with Ben Pauling and a market check is needed here at the very least. Lively player with tongue-tie added.

Won on Flat over nearly 1m4f for Ed Walker last season. Hasn't looked a natural over timber so far although fair runner-up at Hereford in March. Still has something to prove.

Two wins on the Flat for Ed Dunlop at up to a mile-and-a-half and cost current connections 38,000 guineas to go hurdling in November. Best effort over hurdles when second at Kempton (2m, good) last month and makes handicap debut off an nice mark.

Forecasts

Bertimont (7/2), Jaboticaba (7/2), Peruvien Bleu (4/1), Wells De Lune (13/2), Blushing Red (8/1), Regulation (11/1), Romanor (20/1), Novis Adventus (20/1), King Muro (20/1), Scrafton (33/1), English Pale (33/1), Joycetick (33/1)

Verdict

Blushing Red has slowly come to hand over hurdles and moves into handicap company off a very tempting mark. Novis Adventus was progressive over hurdles last year and bolted up on handicap debut. He's has a spin on the AW to get him ready and is a player once again. The selection is JABOTICABA who shaped really nicely on handicap debut at Kempton and can show the required improvement to take this.
  1. Jaboticaba
  2. Novis Adventus
