Verdict

CALYX could hardly have been more impressive when winning at Newmarket just over a week ago and he's the tentative selection in a typically competitive renewal. Aidan O'Brien has a fantastic record in this race and has won it three times in the last seven years. Stable jockey Ryan Moore sides with Sergei Prokofiev but The Irish Rover may prove to be the main danger to the selection having shaped as if there was more to come when winning impressively at Newbury last time. Shine So Bright and Cosmic Law are two at likely bigger prices that shouldn't be dismissed.
