Failed in two British raids on Aintree recently but acts on the ground and is nearing his old winning handicap mark. Place claims in this company.

Will have disappointed connections in two starts recently but the stable usually do well at this meeting and is worth a market check.

The King Of Bregap25
Age: 11|  Weight: 11-1| J: H Morgan(7)| T: H De Bromhead| OR:  119| C
7/1
Has not found life easy in his last four handicap hurdle starts including a 4¾L defeat at Wexford last month. Will need to raise overall performance to play a role here.

Age: 5|  Weight: 11-0| J: Rachael Blackmore| T: J J Hanlon| OR:  118
12/1
Out of sorts when last seen over hurdles in May last year but acts on the ground and first-time cheekpieces could assist now racing 7lb lower than his last winning mark.

Well held in two hurdle starts though he was out of his depth at Killarney last month. May have to settle for a place this time round.

11/2
Distance winner in a Limerick maiden hurdle in April breaking his maiden tag at the seventh time of asking. Consistent sort but may have to wait for his mark to come down a little.

C&D winner here last August in just his third maiden hurdle start. Well beaten in four handicaps over timber since and well below par form looks set to continue here.

You Can't Catch Met9
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-10| J: J J Slevin| T: K Purcell| OR:  114| CD
10/3
Course winner that has also won over this trip at Clonmel earlier this month when travelling strongly before going on to win by 14L. Acts on the ground but 10lb hike in the weights has to be a concern.

Killiney Courtt25
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-8| J: D Robinson(3)| T: H De Bromhead| OR:  112| CD
8/1
C&D winner of a five runner maiden hurdle, though that was back in 2015. Decent run last time out when fourth of 13 at Wexford last month but previous form is a major concern.

Papal Motelh12
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-7| J: Dillon Maxwell(7)| T: A McNamara| OR:  111
16/1
12-race maiden over hurdles and deserves a change of luck given some of his performances including a third of 13 earlier this month in a Kilbeggan maiden over 2m. Place claims.

Had Killarney Court 4L behind him when winning a Wexford handicap hurdle last month and entitled to make the shortlist even off a 7lb higher mark.

Forecasts

You Can't Catch Me (10/3), Allardyce (11/2), The King Of Brega (7/1), Unicorn (7/1), Killiney Court (8/1), Mezajy (8/1), High Expectations (10/1), Linger (12/1), Orgilgo Bay (14/1), Massini's Trap (14/1), All's Quiet (16/1), Papal Motel (16/1), Black Spot On (40/1)

Verdict

Two winners and eight place runners is a sign that the Denis Hogan stable are firing in the last 15 days and last time out winner MEZAJY may take some stooping from the front if employing the same tactics that saw him land a Wexford handicap hurdle last month. Course winner and victorious in a Clonmel handicap hurdle earlier this month You Can't Catch Me can go well again with High Expectations and Papal Motel worth of deliberation at double-figure prices.
  1. Mezajy
  2. You Can't Catch Me
  3. High Expectations
