Twice a Group winner back in 2015 and didn't quite hit the same heights when moving to Chris Waller in Australia. However has returned in form and won a Listed race last time. Suited by quick ground in his younger days and likely to make a bold bid.

Listed winner at Pontefract last year. Didn't show his best form out at Meydan this winter but ran well at Epsom before disappointing at the same track. Tough ask back up in class.

Held in a Listed race in Ireland when failing to build on promise of stable debut (formerly John Gosden). All runs have been at 7f and a bit to prove at this level and over this far.

Tough and consistent performer who is a cut above this level when the ground turns soft. Caused a surprise in the Group 1 Sussex Stakes last year. Ran in a Group 2 on reappearance and now down in class but there is the concern on this surface.

Hasn't been at his best in three starts this season and perhaps age is catching up. However did run better in Group 3 Diomed Stakes last time, a race he won last year. Hard to see him reversing form with Arod from Windsor.

Forecasts

Arod (5/6), Here Comes When (7/2), Sovereign Debt (5/1), Another Touch (9/1), Chessman (14/1)

Verdict

Here Comes When is undoubtedly the class act of the race and is officially 9lb well in on these terms. If there was cut in the ground he'd take an awful lot of beating but there have to be doubts on this surface. AROD has been revitalised back on these shores for his new trainer and in contrast has his ideal conditions. He'll be hard to peg back if allowed to dominate in this small field. Sovereign Debt was better last time and hopefully there's more to come for such an admirable nine-year-old.
