Improved from debut to win a maiden at Carlisle and followed up at Ayr on final start of 2017. Yard in better form now than when sixth in the Derby Trial at Lingfield on his reappearance and he's not ruled out back down in class on handicap debut.
Didn't need to improve to gain his first win at Wolverhampton in April. Disappointed next time but returned with a better effort at Thirsk and likely we haven't seen the best of him yet.
Two wins from seven runs. Ran well in maiden here in 2017 and won his next start at Nottingham. Returned to form with a win at Doncaster but well beaten at Epsom last time and likely to want softer ground than what he looks likely to get here.
Won on handicap debut at Wolverhampton on final start of 2017 and has returned to form in recent starts, winning at Doncaster before finishing runner-up to a progressive filly at Newmarket last time. Should go well here.
Forecasts
Dr Richard Kimble (5/4), Ship Of The Fen (6/4), Bartholomeu Dias (11/2), Wax And Wane (10/1)
WAX AND WANE could be the one to side with now his yard has hit some form and he should come on for his run in the Derby Trial last time. Dr Richard Kimble has been in good form of late and should continue to progress while Bartholomeu Dias isn't ruled out after a better effort last time out.
