Fourth in a handicap hurdle off 2lb higher at Aintree on the back of a wind operation last time. Has shaped like a chaser in the making and should go well if taking to the larger obstacles.

Only two career starts so far over fences and they have both come with jumping errors. Mark is falling but jumping needs to be much better to be considered for win purposes.

Won off this mark on handicap debut over hurdles. Two subsequent runs were poor however and needs a major return to form here on first attempt over fences.

Fell on chase debut at Towcester before a really solid effort at Fontwell (2m5½f, good) last time. Shaped there like this trip would really suit and is a major player here.

Won cosily at Huntingdon (2m7½f, good) two starts back off a 7lb lower mark. Fell over the same C&D next time when making a string of bad mistakes prior to coming down. Will be a player for sure if cutting out the errors.

Well backed last time at Ffos Las (2m5f, good) when finishing a close second. This step up in trip looks a good move on that evidence and a decent chance of going one better off just 4lbs higher.

Slowly getting to grips with the game having fallen on chase debut. Tendency to jump right is a slight concern but tongue tie goes on for only third chase start and another with a live shout.

Forecasts

Cabaret Queen (11/4), Great Tempo (7/2), Blagapar (4/1), Atlanta Ablaze (5/1), Kings Temptation (11/2), Broom Tip (10/1), Aengus (20/1)

Verdict

Hard to put a line through any of these in what looks a good little novice handicap. Cabaret Queen has shaped like fences would suit and should go well if her jumping holds up. Kings Temptation certainly has the ability to win off this mark but he needs to jump much better than was the case last time. Minor preference in a tight heat goes to ATLANTA ABLAZE who shaped like this step up in trip would suit last time and can get off the mark over fences.
  1. Atlanta Ablaze
  2. Cabaret Queen
  3. Kings Temptation
