Followed up a good second at Ballinrobe with a gutsy win at Listowel last time. up another 5lbs which makes life tougher and drops back in trip but thriving at present and a player once more.
Sent off favourite at Down Royal (2m, good) when last seen but jumping errors crept in an was beaten a long way. Needs to do much more than that to be involved but capable if jumping better.
Former Paul Nicholls in mate who never quite lived up to expectations First run since October last year when pulled up in a Hunter Chase as Listowel last week having led for a long way and weakening. Clearly well handicapped on old form.
Was thriving when last seen having won a novice chase and two handicap hurdles in a short space of time. Off the track for eight months but likely to be up to this mark over fences if ready to go after the break.
Daughter of Milan out of a Pistolet Bleu mare. 121-rated hurdler and not getting to the winner on chasing debut at Cork before winning a Limerick beginners chase as he liked in April. Looks to be on a decent opening mark for handicap debut.
Winner of one of his six chase starts and looks to be toiling in recent starts. Reduced mark a positive but others preferred.
Ran well in a couple of novice hurdles the last twice, prior to that had been struggling to win off slightly higher marks over fences. Handicapper has given him a squeak and not discounted.
Not shown a great deal over fences including in a couple of handicaps of late when jumping errors slipped in. Mark is dropping slowly but needs much more to be involved here. This trip is on the sharp side.
Hasn't yet lived up to his purchase price (£200,000) but chances are he will been seen to better effect now in handicaps. Close-up and going well when falling three out at Tipperary last time and should go very close with a clear round.
Only win win over fences now in 30 attempts. Ran ok at Tramore (2m, good) last time but was still beaten 11½ L and really needs to do more to be considered for win purposes.
