Picked up a Group 3 as a juvenile but this seems more his level now following an improved display here last week.
Passing a few of these on his rise up the ratings following two C&D victories under this rider. More than feasible there is something better treated this time.
Better on the All Weather and is just 1-23 on turf, albeit that was on fast ground over C&D. Takes a significant drop in the weights but appears the yard's second string based on jockey bookings.
Down the field in the Epsom Dash but all three wins have come at this trip. This will be he is easiest test in a while and one to consider if coming here after the Thirsk 3:15 on Tuesday.
Yet to come close this term to the form which brought three successes last year. Closer to his last winning mark and Tony Hamilton chooses him ahead of Zylan.
6f and any ground with good in the description are the optimum racing conditions for this five-year-old, who won a big-field Thirsk contest in April. Well held from his revised ratings on last two starts, however, and up against it.
Sprung a 16/1 surprise to win on the Tapeta at Newcastle on his penultimate start (6f). Soundly beaten off his new marks since and held by Logi on latest run.
Seven-time course winner who produced her best run of the campaign here last month. Seems better in classes below this nowadays.
Five-time course winner has lost the plot lately and has finished last on her three most recent starts. Back sprinting but hard to see that making a difference.
Forecasts
Logi (2/1), Afandem (5/2), Aleef (8/1), Zylan (9/1), Muatadel (10/1), Mr Orange (12/1), Economic Crisis (16/1), Katheefa (16/1), Alexandrakollontai (25/1)
Much will depend on whether Aleef takes his place here and how he fares in the 3:15 at Thirsk on Tuesday. AFANDEM seemed to have found his new level here last week and meets rivals with something to prove. Logi is now on a challenging mark as he chases a hat-trick in better company and Muatadel needs to improve considerably on his last two efforts.
- Afandem
- Logi
- Muatadel
