Picked up two races under this rider last year but both came over further. Last two decent runs at this distance came with give in the ground.
Donw to a handy mark which is 12lb lower than his latest success. If the going remains unchanged this will be the first time he has had fast ground since and he ran his best race in a while on last appearance. Stable have won this twice.
Has bumped into two improved performers on last two starts and proved he can handle a quick surface most recently. Dropped in the weights and top amateur booked but a 1-26 record means there may be better value to be had.
Returning from six months on the sidelines. Has a 4-61 record and usually requires a few runs before hitting his peak.
Landed back to back races last autumn but has been a long way below those levels since and weighted accordingly.
Has scored at Redcar and Ayr in the last fortnight and found the 5f too sharp here last week. Has now failed to make the frame here in seven visits.
Is plummeting in the weights and undoubtedly on a good mark on old form. But recent runs including three starts for present trainer leaves a lot to find and has looked better on the AW.
Has beaten two subsequent winners this term and remains attractively treated. Top rider booked and he just needs rain to allow him to shine once more.
0-10 on turf and produced another dismal display at Catterick 12 days ago. Hard to be positive about his prospects.
Recent Market Rasen winner whose three Flat victories have come at 7f. This switch to sprinting does not promise to suit.
Last win came in a similar C&D event and running to a consistent level recently. Down to a career low mark and boasts each-way claims under a talented rider.
19-race maiden whose last worthwhile effort came in 2016. Headgear has made little impact and he is hard to fancy.
Has usually popped up once or twice a year since joining this stable and fast ground helps. Just third ride for this amateur and failed to make an impact in this 12 months ago.
27-race maiden who has 10L to find with Jessie Allan on recent Redcar form in a similar contest. Cannot be recommended on that evidence.
Now gone 30 runs since last win in 2015 and has also failed to make the frame on last 15 outings. Impossible to fancy after a nine month break.

Vallarta - Original Position 2nd. Amended Position 3rd.
Forecasts
Berlios (2/1), Picks Pinta (9/2), Vallarta (7/1), Merdon Castle (8/1), Mitchum (11/1), Jessie Allan (12/1), Dodgy Bob (14/1), Great Colaci (18/1), Gaelic Wizard (25/1), Dark Confidant (25/1), My Valentino (33/1), Jack Blane (33/1), Ypres (33/1), Iconic Figure (50/1), Yair Hill (66/1)
VALLARTA represents a yard that have hit the target twice in this race and he comes here having attracted support last time only find to find 5f too sharp. This test looks ideal provided there is no rain. In the event of conditions deteriorating then Mitchum would see his chances increase exponentially, whilst Berlios handles any ground but remains hard to win with. Picks Pinta has each-way claims off a career low mark.
