7/1
Bumper winner who isn't likely to justify his £58,000 price tag, but he's done better since going down the handicapping route, beaten just 5L by Cosmic King on his penultimate start at Huntingdon (2m good).

Won three times since joining this trainer for just £5,000 in May 2017, so has already paid his way. Up 12lb for his latest 4L win at Uttoxeter (2m good).

Won just once in 31 career starts (0 from 10 over hurdles), but was placed off a 5lb higher mark over C&D in May; beaten 12L by Spader.

Both of his career wins came at in the autumn of 2016 at Uttoxeter (2m good), and he's not seen much racing since then; absent for over 15 months. 3lb above his last winning mark, but with Richard Johnson now aboard.

Age: 4|  Weight: 11-9| J: Sean Quinlan| T: J Candlish| OR:  99

Flat winner (1m4f), but still a maiden over hurdles (0 from 7), yet dropping quickly in the weights and could well appreciate racing on a sounder surface; minor place claims.

Pirolot25
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-5| J: T J O'Brien| T: N J Hawke| OR:  92

Not shown much over hurdles so far, but was a three-time Flat winner for Jim Bolger (1m2f-1m5f), so worthy of market monitoring on handicap debut.

Age: 4|  Weight: 11-5| J: Aidan Coleman| T: J & A O'Neill| OR:  95

Kept busy on the Flat lately, beaten a nose by Star Ascending at Wolverhampton in April (1m4f) and likely to have more to offer back over hurdles (0 from 3); handicap debut.

Strong Team13
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-2| J: B S Hughes| T: C Grant| OR:  89
8/1
Took a step forward back from a break on handicap debut at Sedgefield recently (2m1f good) when beaten 8L by Russian Rascal. Each-way chance if able to back that effort up on similar ground; contested a void Cartmel race latest.

Zamalightt128
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-12| J: Thomas Garner(3)| T: O Murphy| OR:  88
25/1
Still a maiden after 12 starts (0 from 4 over hurdles), but dropped 6lb since his handicap debut and the tongue tie is now applied for a trainer who commands respect.

Scotsbrook Nightt22
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-9| J: Ross Chapman(3)| T: S Lycett| OR:  82
20/1
12-race maiden who excelled herself on her return from a break when finishing 8½L third to Atlanta's Gold at Towcester last month (2m good to firm); no guarantee that she'll back that effort up though.

Hey Bobt6
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-2| J: Callum Bewley(3)| T: C Grant| OR:  75| CD
10/1
Came good at the 36th attempt over C&D in November, with the runner up Vado Forte a three-time winner since. Not quite at the same level since, but not all that far off, so rates as a possible contender but no more.

Blackadder21
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-0| J: Harry Stock(5)| T: Mark Gillard| OR:  72
66/1
30-race maiden (0 from 11 over hurdles) and makes no appeal whatsoever.

Forecasts

Get Ready Freddy (2/1), Tidal Watch (9/4), Way Out West (7/1), Strong Team (8/1), Hey Bob (10/1), Hatem (16/1), Theredballoon (16/1), Scotsbrook Night (20/1), Udogo (20/1), Magical Thomas (20/1), Zamalight (25/1), Pirolo (28/1), Wistari Rocks (28/1), Mick The Poser (33/1), Blackadder (66/1)

Verdict

Strong Team looks to be the pick of the Chris Grant duo with Brian Hughes booked to ride and could be capable of making the frame in a race which doesn't lack for numbers, but looks to be short on quality. Get Ready Freddy hasn't been wholly consistent since joining Team Skelton, but in his defence, he's won three-times and clearly paid his way; but life gets much tougher now off an upwardly mobile mark. Way Out West is handicapped on his Sedgefield bumper win for Stuart Crawford and needs some slack, so TIDAL WATCH is the choice now switched back to hurdles (handicap debut) after a fairly solid run of form in staying races on the AW.
