16:20 Musselburgh Sat 9 June 2018
Dual purpose performer who bolted up (4/9f) in a novices hurdle here in March (2m3.5f); back on the Flat more recently, but no match whatsoever for all the way winner Addicted To You at Chelmsford latest (2m).
Musselburgh regular in 2017 (1,1,3,1,3) over trips ranging from 1m4f to 2m; 3lb above his last winning mark but heavily eased on seasonal return at Haydock (2m) and needs to produce a career best effort back at his favoured venue.
Reliable gelding and thoroughly versatile in terms of racing surface (effective on the AW); up 3lb for a neck defeat of Stormin Tom at Ripon last month (2m), form which could be well advertised at Carlisle on Friday.
Ran a solid race in the first time blinkers here last week (1m6f), when getting to within 1¼L of Wor Lass, and following a similar path into this contest which he took in 2017 by 1½L; major player off an identical mark.
Not won since taking the 2014 Northumberland Plate and a mere shadow of that high standard nowadays, but steadily finding a groove off this reduced mark, finishing just under 4L third to Star Of The East at Chester latest (1m5f+ good).
Left Karl Burke for £12,500 at the Doncaster May sales after winning over the extended 1m4f here early last month; up in trip/4lb for stable debut, but more worrying is the significant leap in grade (Class 6 to Class 3).
