Dam is and unraced half-sister to bumper/useful 2m-3m hurdle/chase winner Bold Sir Brian, so something to be taken from the pedigree, but yard just 2-23 with their bumper runners here in the last five seasons.

Was nicely backed to make a winning introduction at Southwell a coupe of weeks ago, and was far from disgraced in finishing fourth, not beaten far. Will know more here and every chance of taking this if building on that.
Another Irish raider on the card today, has performed well on both bumper starts so far (both on these shores) although still looked very green at Sedgefield latest. A repeat should see him on the premises.
Stablemate of Bobndave, and jockey bookings would suggest he is the main hope for them, but yard tend to let them find their feet and others are preferred today.

Better effort on second start and wasn't beaten that far when finishing midfield at Doncaster, bred to have a bit more speed than a few of these and could go okay if fit after absence.
Hit the places when third at Hexham last time out but that was a weak affair, and she was well beaten at the finish. Big plus point is the form of the yard, who have made a good start to the new season, but she does need to improve to win here.

Forecasts

Rusty Fox (9/4), Onelasthand (3/1), Staged Engagement (7/2), All Change (4/1), Bea My Star (8/1), Cross Of Steel (8/1), Bobndave (22/1)

Verdict

Not an easy finale, with plenty holding some sort of chance. Cross Of Steel is the most interesting for the long term but might find this too sharp a test, and RUSTY FOX, who came in for plenty of support at Southwell on debut, is preferred. He wasn't beaten far there and a small step forward from that might be enough. Staged Engagement might be next best, and All Change is worth a second look as well.
  1. Rusty Fox
  2. Staged Engagement
  3. Cross Of Steel
