Made a winning start over fences in a two-runner race at Towcester (2m good to firm) last month. Jumped well on the whole there and was well on top of a rival rated 127. Every chance there will be more to come over fences for this consistent type.
Just one win from eight runs over hurdles. Quite a bit to find with a couple of these on ability in that sphere and isn't bred for this game. Yard know the time of day though and interesting to see how he goes in the market.
Grade 1 winner in France as a juvenile and had some smart form in Ireland when with Willie Mullins. Makes chasing debut today with Richard Johnson booked and likely to be very hard to beat if transferring his ability to fences.
In terms of hurdling ability he has quite a bit to find with a couple of these. Chasing debut today and needs to improve for the larger obstacles to take a hand.
Jumping errors cost him any chance on chasing debut at Kempton (2m4f½f, good) last month when beaten a long way. Cheekpieces go on but needs to jump better and Richard Johnson prefers Diakali.
Forecasts
Diakali (8/13), Our Three Sons (11/4), Wishfull Dreaming (13/2), Argyle (25/1), Shimba Hills (50/1)
DIAKALI was a smart performer for Willie Mullins when trained in Ireland and has an excellent opportunity to open his account over fences for a yard that do well here. Our Three Sons won well on chasing debut and won't go down without a fight, whilst Wishfull Dreaming needs to jump much better to be involved.
