Frustrating 14-race maiden whose best efforts have come when there has been some give in the ground. Step up in trip may help but question over suitably of underfoot conditions.
Irish staying handicapper had a couple of quick runs late last month and now steps back up to a more realistic trip. Is interesting in this grade and worthy of consideration.
Irish veteran who hasn't scored for three years. Better for reappearance run at Leopardstown last week though and any market support would warrant a second glance.
Runner-up four times last summer but has been on the slides since then. Undoubtedly very well handicapped if able to conjure up a bit of old form so not without hope but others are preferred until he starts showing more interest.
Broke her duck at Newcastle this winter over 2m and stayed on over 1m5f back on turf here a couple of weeks ago. Step up in trip will help and may have place prospects.
Won 1m6f Carlisle heavy ground handicap in September and shaped well at Musselburgh on seasonal bow. Less pleasing there when turned out 24 hours later which may well have been too soo. Month break since but ground may be an issue.
Had a spin at Wetherby last month racing prominently on seasonal bow until tiring 2f out. Should strip fitter and handicapped to be thereabouts if in the mood.
Disappointing gelding unplaced on all eight starts despite showing the odd glimmer of ability. First-time visor now but faces a tough task.
Handicapper chaser who has run consistently over fences without getting his head in front for over a year. Raced 18 times on Flat in France and only placed once so has it all to do.
Only beaten total of four horses in five races and on the face of it looks very moderate. First-time cheekpieces applied for handicap bow and a market move from his shrewd connections is not out of the question.
Forecasts
Manomine (2/1), Braes Of Lochalsh (7/2), Archibelle (7/2), Elite Icon (6/1), Sang Tiger (9/1), Las Tunas (20/1), Hugoigo (22/1), In Focus (22/1), Fontainbleau (33/1), Eyreborn (40/1)
Some disapointing horses on show here for this staying handicap, but MANOMINE has hinted that his turn may not be far away and is the choice. Elite Icon has been given time to reocver from two quick races and is not without a chance, while both In Focus and Archiebelle have some claims although a place may be the best they can hope for. It would be worth monitoring the market for any move for handicap debutant Fontainbleau.
- Manomine
- Elite Icon
- Fontainbleau
