Fair handicapper who goes on just about any ground. Missed break and hampered when mid-division in decent event at York last time. Eased a pound and a bold show by no means out of the question with better luck in running.
Won twice for Roger Varian over a mile in 2016. Makes debut for new yard having last been seen finishing third in Lingfield mile handicap in November. Interesting prospect and worth a market check on seasonal return.
Seven-time winner including last time out over this trip at Wetherby where stayed on dourly to score by ahead off 2lb lower mark. Apprentice booked now to take 5lb off so has prospects as copes well with this surface.
Faded close home on two most recent starts, both at Beverley over the extended mile. Worth a try back at this trip for fine yard showing signs of closing in on top form.
Won here over 6f in soft ground in October 2016 and scored ast term over 7f at Carlisle. Has disappointed on two previous tries on a quickish surface so question mark over ability to handle anticipated ground here.
Trip and ground fine and looked a shade unlucky at Beverley last time in a typically rough finish on the Westwood. May not be far away with a clear run this time.
Heavy ground one mile Irish maiden winner last term and has shown some promise in three starts for new conenctions. Yard going well over the last month and was decent runer-up at Calrilse over 1m last time. Should be thereabouts.
Won extended 7f soft ground Tipperary maiden for Henry de Bromhead last term but generally disappinting in four starts since for current connections. Absent since November so has it to do unless market speaks otherwise.
Three wins last year for Ed Dunlop and shaped with promise on debut for new yard at Hamilton last time out after 220-day absence. Led until tiring over a furlong out and drop back to this trip looks the right move. Has decent claims.
Won three times over 5f last summer in decent company but has been very disappointing in two runs so far this campaign. Drops in grade and eased 4lb but more needed.
Relatively unexposed with 2-6 record so far but has only raced over 5f. Steps straight up to 7f and takes on older horses which won't be easy but yard in tremendous form so has to be considered.

ALEMARATALYOUM caught the eye running nicely on his debut for his new yard and should be fitter now. He is a sporting choice in a very open affair. Bottom weight Viscount Loftus is interesting tried at this trip for the first time, while Luis Vaz De Torres, Areen Heart and Explain are among a number of other horses with claims in a race where the market may well prove very informative.
- Alemaratalyoum
- Explain
- Luis Vaz De Torres
