Useful last year finishing runner-up in Group 3 at Newmarket in October. Disappointed when last on final start last term and again when last in listed event at Sandown recently. Sets the stand though and strong contender if bouncing back.
Well related Declaration Of War gelding. Didn't make it to the track as a juvenile and makes his debut here for yard not really setting the world alight at present. Respected though and worth a market check.
Big Bad Bob gelding who looked backward when well beaten on debut at Newcastle (AW) in November. Reappeared at Redcar last month and led until headed 3f out over 7f. Steps up in trip but likley to find this tough.
Gelded son of English Channel cost just £2000 at Doncaster Sales in January. Plenty of stamina on the dams side so may find things happening rather too quickly for him on racecourse bow.
€25,000 gelding by Maxios. Dam won at up to 1m6f so likely to need more of a trip. Makes debut here for shrewd yard but may need more time - unless market says otherwise.
Cheaply bought £2000 gelded son of Medicean, but showed a little promise on debut when fifth of 14 at Thirsk last month on debut. Is half-brother to decent Chester specialist Sound Advice so not without place prospects on this occasion.
Sulamani filly out a stayingd am who came second in the Cesarewitch over 2m2f. Stamina laden pediree but ran a fair race on debut when third at Hamilton four weeks ago. May need further to be seen at her best but has a squeak.

Forecasts
Dream Today (30/100), Mount Ararat (3/1), Addis Ababa (9/2), Home Before Dusk (14/1), Doon Star (28/1), Heirslookingatyou (33/1), Glasses Up (50/1), Alabanza (100/1)
On the best of his form last term the penalised Dream Today is a good thing, but he was very disappointing at Sandown on his return and it's by no means certain he has trained on. He is very much respected, but a chance is taken that the promising MOUNT ARARAT may improve for his good debut effort and prove good enough to take this in receipt of 7lb. The well bred Addis Adaba and Doon Star look best of the remainder.
