Dual AW winner in the UK for Simon Crisford, shaped with promise at Dundalk for this trainer, must prove herself on turf however. Blinkers added today.
Winner on debut in France back in 2016, struggled since, often in much better company than this. Better effort last time at Chepstow (6f, good to firm) but remains inconsistent.
Returned from short layoff to win 28-runner Curragh apprentice race last month, far from disgraced from 7lb higher mark at Cork (6½f, good) since and worth considering dropped in trip again.
Best form so far has come on the AW, must prove himself as adept on turf (only had one previous run). Market may reveal more.
Winner of a 6f AW handicap at Dundalk last season from her seven starts. Worth a market check on seasonal return.
Outran her odds of 50/1 on reappearance at the Curragh (5f, yield to soft) last month when fourth of 28. Decent chance on old form if she builds on that run.
Remains a maiden after 11 starts but only just having gone very close last month over C&D on good to firm ground. Up 2lb for that effort and should be competitive again.
Maiden winner at Down Royal (5f, soft to heavy) in September for Eddie Lynam, has switched to this yard over the winter and given a chance seemingly by the assessor.
Filly was progressive last season in notching three wins. Decent reappearance at Cork last month (fourth) and could have more to offer.
Continues to baffle connections by remaining a maiden after 10 starts, often having been well supported in the betting. Poor at Dundalk (7f, AW) last month in a maiden. Blinkers added for handicap bow. Stable in good form.
Consistent sort who lost her maiden tag at Dundalk penultimate start when making all. Run well since over C&D from this mark and should go well again in first-time cheekpieces.
33/1 chance on handicap debut at the Curragh (5f, yielding to soft) last time and weakened right out of contention. Hard to put forward.
Forecasts
Early Call (11/2), Polly Douglas (11/2), Snow Patch (13/2), Brave Display (7/1), Coto (8/1), Daliyah (8/1), Focus Of Attention (9/1), Nigg Bay (12/1), Clare Island (12/1), Dandyman Port (14/1), Kindly (16/1), Noble Kingsway (25/1)
COTO ran a fine race last time at the Curragh and is well treated on her best form from this mark if able to build no it now. Daliyah isn't discounted despite failing to meet market expectations on more than one occasion while Snow Patch is a likely contender if the new cheekpieces bring something extra from her. Early Call and Brave Display are others given chances in what appears a wide open race.
- Coto
- Snow Patch
- Brave Display
