2/2 on the AW this year when he came to that discipline fit from hurdling and his last win came in very easy style over 2m at Newcastle winning with something in hand. Only raised 3lb for that win and has a more than competent partner.
Blinkers go on for the first time replacing the usual visor hoping to find some spark after running poorly on both his recent Flat starts. Back on his last winning Flat mark but takes a leap of faith to support him here despite a good course record.
His three course wins all came in a purple patch in 2015 but he's proved himself capable off a mark like this and higher since. Now 10 he ran a sound race on his comeback at Thirsk (1m4f, good/soft) in a race that looked a useful one for the grade.
Usually seen at Scottish tracks but more frequently at Ayr where his last five wins have come. Given his seasonal debut here he went a lot better at Ayr last time although he steps up 6f in trip here against some decent stayers.
Both her runs this year have had a lot to like about them, shaping better than the bare result the first time. Last time she was beaten by two useful sorts and takes a drop in grade here that will suit and see her playing a leading role.
Not in the same prolific form now as she was a few years ago but still a capable sort and starts the season on a very workable mark. Twice a course winner (once over C&D) her Carlisle run provides her with a good springboard for this contest.
Coming back from a very long absence and needed the run when well held over 1m4f at Chepstow last time. Proved that she had ability in the past with a Doncaster and may yet to better with that run tucked away.
Yet to win on the Flat (has won a Fibresand jumpers bumper) and ran with credit over this trip last time but does looks a hard ride. Visor used then is now removed but he's clearly not straightforward and faces a tough test here.

Forecasts
Bal De Rio (9/4), Donnachies Girl (9/2), Tapis Libre (5/1), Great Fighter (13/2), Max Liebermann (7/1), Wor Lass (8/1), The Last Debutante (9/1), Corton Lad (16/1), Gworn (22/1)
An interesting end to the Ladies’ Day card and it should provide DONNACHIES GIRL with the chance to get her head in front after two very creditable efforts this year and she now drops in grade with the cheekpieces worn for her last win back on. Bal De Rio is building up a good strike rate on the Flat and he looked to win with a bit in hand last time although he has to transfer that AW form to turf. Wor Lass has gone well here in the past and her last run promised more to come as did the first run of the season from the veteran Tapis Libre who looks more than capable off this mark.
- Donnachies Girl
- Bal De Rio
- Wor Lass
