Wore cheekpieces when scoring over hurdles in December. Seems genuine enough though, but others look better handicapped this time around.
Made all to score over this trip at Bath on firm ground. Longer trip and revised mark found her out at Newbury, but she will be more of a threat this time and she handled soft ground in France.
Has a 6-43 record and has been placed on 12 other occasions. Perfectly at home on soft ground and at this level. Just needs to produce his typical effort to have every chance under a good claimer.
Fourth to a subsequent Group 2 winner on debut and looked in need of the run on his stable debut. Worth a check in the market on first run in a handicap.
Went 4-8 last year and ideally suited to these undulating tracks and some give in the ground. Ran better than her final position suggests on return when conditions were too quick.
Yet to win a race but shaped well enough after a break on his first run for this yard to believe that he has the ability to win something akin to this. Needed the run over C&D last time on heavy ground and should be a different proposition now.
Winner of a low grade AW contest and yet to encounter ground as soft as forecast. Having first run since stopping quickly at Kempton in November.
Sole victory came in a low grade AW contest over 1m4f off 6lb lower. Makes seasonal debut and probably has too many doubts to overcome.
Winner of a modest four-runner race at Wolverhampton (9.5f) where the pace was slow. Best to treat that form with caution and she failed to stay this far in a more truly run race next time. 5lb out of the weights.
Could go around here in his sleep (seven-time course winner) but he's been running poorly for a while now both over hurdles and on the Flat. 6lb out of the handicap and hasn't won since 2015.

Attest (11/4), Essenaitch (4/1), Katabatika (4/1), Tyrolean (5/1), Shamrokh (5/1), Lady Valdean (8/1), Miss Inga Sock (10/1), Valdizar (14/1), Power Home (16/1), Cooperess (20/1), Peak Storm (50/1)
Miss Inga Sock is a reliable performer under today's conditions and she caught the eye on her return when conditions were too quick. She will do a lot better here, but marginal preference is for ESSENAITCH who usually gives his running and is weighted to go close again. His rider is good value for his claim and that just tilts things in his favour. Tyrolean is a big threat and Valdizar is one to look out for in the market.
- Essenaitch
- Miss Inga Sock
- Tyrolean
