Produced a career best effort when winning at Chester on Saturday (1m4f+ good), beating Desert Ruler by almost 4L despite totally missing the break. Turned out swiftly under a 6lb penalty and despite the differing track looks difficult to oppose.
Stays a stiff 1m4f and is versatile in terms of underfoot conditions having won on good to firm, good, and soft ground previously. Shaped okay despite a wide draw at York latest, yet still dropped 2lb in the weights.
Finished behind Jabbaar on his penultimate start at Chester earlier this month (1m4f), and that rival has progressed markedly since, so plenty on to reverse placings today. 8lb lower than when making all in the 'Buttonhook' here in May 2017 (1m5f).
Improved on the AW over the winter and broke his duck on turf at Musselburgh earlier this month (1m4f+ good) beating Akamento by a neck. 4lb higher and only able to finish 9L fourth to Rainbow Rebel in the 'Braveheart' here latest (1m4f).
Formerly with Amanda Perrett (sold for 11,000 gns in October 2017), but yet to win on turf in 11 previous attempts and not yet shown signs of improvement for this trainer; held by Theglasgowwarrior on Musselburgh form from early May.
Raced keenly over C&D on his return from a five-month break in early May, so could be better with that freshness quelled. Obvious scope for further progress off his current mark on turf (10lb lower) given his winter AW exploits.

Jabbaar (6/4), Trading Punches (9/4), Mutadaffeq (14/5), Artful Rogue (7/2), Theglasgowwarrior (8/1), Restive (12/1), Corton Lad (16/1)
JABBAAR is the obvious headline horse under a 6lb penalty for his striking weekend success at Chester. In truth he looks difficult to oppose and is strongly fancied to follow up, but for those keen to be against him, there's some mileage in the fact that all of his previous winning form on turf has come around sharp tracks (Chester, Catterick and Beverley). Trading Punches is a plausible alternative despite having stamina to prove, whilst Restive is notably well treated on turf compared to the AW.
