Victorious by a nose in a 15 runner 6f novice contest at Newbury (good) last July and credible effort this term in 7f handicap at Lingfield (good) on return. Needs a bit more though.
Improved for seasonal return when close fourth of 15 at York (7f, good to firm) just under a fortnight ago, wouldn't need a lot more to grab this and worth keeping in mind.
Invincible Spirit filly who cost 300,000 gns as a yearling, improved on juvenile form what chasing home the jolly on reappearance at Redcar (6f, good to firm), was beaten 5L there, should be sharper now.
Winner at Ripon last August on second start (6f, good to soft), a shade disappointing at Lingfield on the AW on return in April, has to take a step up on that form.
A good bit to find with Angel's Glory on their returns at Redcar, enjoys a healthy pull at the weights in that bid, but must also find some improvement.
Promising juvenile form last year, scoring at Ripon (5f, good) in August on second start. Unable to seriously challenge on return at Wetherby (5½f, soft), now tackles 7f for the first time and needs to improve.
Four-race maiden, shaped nicely enough on handicap bow at Newmarket (1m, good) this month. Drops in trip and eased a pound in the ratings here. May do better.
Made quite a taking debut on AW Newcastle last year (finished 2nd) before disappointing twice in subsequent starts (once over 7f). Now makes her handicap/turf debut and this trip should suit but does have work to do on what we have seen so far.
Won a fillies' novice event on the AW at Chelmsford in December, effort fizzled out on reappearance at Wetherby (5½f, soft) on reappearance in April but yard in good form now and better show likely up in distance.
Won at Lingfield (1m, AW) back in January but has looked in the grip of the handicapper since, failing to beat a rival home in three of four starts. May need decent ground for turf campaign to take off.
Canford Cliffs filly produced best of her three efforts on reappearance at Redcar (7f, good to firm) this month, finishing second of 10 in a novice auction. Goes handicapping on second turf start, looks a player from the foot of the weights.
Forecasts
Angel's Glory (11/4), Cavatina (3/1), Electric Landlady (6/1), Queen Penn (8/1), Elation (9/1), Lady Willpower (14/1), Princess Harley (14/1), Revived (16/1), Destinata (25/1), Felisa (40/1), Cirrus Minor (66/1)
Angel's Glory made a decent fist of things on reappearance at Redcar and should strip fitter now but it is another recent runner-up from that track that earns the call. DESTINATA produced her best work to date when close second there over this trip and looks to be going handicapping from a workable mark. James Fanshawe's daughter of Canford Cliffs can likely improve on second start and grab this. Lady Willpower and Cavatina are capable of getting in the mix.
- Destinata
- Angel's Glory
- Cavatina
