Landed similar event over C&D last week at 25/1 and runs again quickly under 7lb penalty. Big chance if able to reproduce that effort but has never strung two successive wins together so it might have been a flash in the pan.

Stable companion of the top weight, only win came in France on the Flat for previous connections. Picked up by current yard after running second in a seller earlier this month and not disgraced in a better race when third last time.

Career records stands at 3-50. Hasn't run over hurdles for more than 18 months and returns off 8lb lower mark,. Went close over fences in December but returns after a break and the drop back in trip is not sure to suit.

Last win came over two years ago in Ludlow handicap hurdle and has run some fair races in defeat since then. 12lb lower than last winning mark and jockey booking catches the eye so looks one of the more likely sorts.

Didn't stay on first try and 2m4f last time and quickly reverts to this minimum trip. Fourth in Leicester selling hurdle in December doesn't really look good enough and others make mroe appeal.

Won Newbury mile maiden 12 months ago for Paul Cole and joined current yard in November. Three hurdles starts so far have hinted there may be a race in him and he is given a tempting mark for this handicap bow.

Ex-Irish handicapper has regressed since switched to race in Britain for current yard. Very well handicapped on old form and did show a little more spark last time so certainly worth a glance at the market.

Yet to reach a place in 15 starts on the Flat and over jumps . Makes her handicap debut off a low mark but it would be a major surprise if she is able to figuire in the finish.

Won amateurs handicap hurdle at Ludlow 13 months ago . A few places have come his way since at up to 2m4f but on balance is hard to enthuse over.

Won at Fakenham in December off 79 and went in again off that mark last time out at Plumpton, running on well to score by a neck. 7lb higher mark makes this a challenge but may not be far away.

Second off 85 in Newton Abbot contest last September but hasn't shown much in two starts since then. Given a chance at the weights and deecnt conditional claims 5lb but a place is probably the best he could hope for.

Only win in 26 starts came over 1m4f on the Flat at Wolverhampton 18 months ago. Has done very little since under both codes and impossible to fancy on latest efforts.

Verdict

HEAR THE CHIMES might just prove good enough in a trappy event populated by mainly struggling horses. He's nicely handicapped on his best form and the booking of Sam Twiston-Davies is a positive. Conor Dore's Stuccodor did it well last week when springing a surprise and turns out again quickly under his penalty. He has a chance but has never been the most reliable, while his stable companion Hatem is also respected. The handicapper has taken a chance on the ex-Flat racer Mutoondressedashorse who may go well especially if coming in for market support, a comment that also applies to Dollar And A Dream.
