Arrives in a hat-trick bid after wins at Brighton and Bath. Due to go up further when the handicapper has his say and likely to be hard to catch if he can get to the front.
Won back to back races at Newcastle in January but has been out of form recently and not the easiest to load in to the stalls. Needs to prove he can be as effective on turf.
Has a fair bit on to reverse the form with Crystal Deauville at Bath last time when beaten by over 3L. Wears first-time blinkers but still a maiden and others preferred.
Just one win from 11 starts and has plenty to find with Haylah and Crystal Deauville from the form at Bath last time.
Yet to win in six starts and needs to take a big step forward from his reappearance at Windsor to have a say here.
Got her head in front on her fifth start last year and not disgraced at Bath on her reappearance. Likely to take a step forward from that here and has place claims.
Unplaced on each of his three starts but minor improvement showed last time out at Brighton and may do better on handicap debut here.
Well beaten on all recent starts and hard to fancy at present having not reproduced an impressive win at Lingfield in July. Needs to bounce back.
Yet to win in six starts but has produced two much better effort on her latest two outings. Stayed on gamely at Wolverhampton last time and only a matter of time before she gets her head in front.
Unplaced on all three starts and drop in trip not likely to make a significant enough difference on handicap debut here.
Forecasts
Crystal Deauville (9/4), Maygold (11/4), Ellen Gates (9/2), Spanish Star (8/1), Haylah (10/1), Fantastic Flyer (16/1), Three Little Birds (20/1), Wiff Waff (25/1), Firenze Rosa (25/1), Bbob Alula (28/1)
CRYSTAL DEAUVILLE is the one to beat here and he's officially well in, due to go up a further 3lb when reassessed. Haylah may finish a little closer if the first-time headgear does the trick while Ellen Gates looks like an exciting prospect who ought to get her head in front at some stage.
- Crystal Deauville
- Haylah
- Ellen Gates
