€70,000 yearling. Half-brother to George Bowen and likewise showed plenty on debut with a nice turn of foot to win with cut in the ground. Has a penalty to overcome but should only improve especially up slightly in distance.

Cost £68,000 as a yearling and while will get further in time does have some speed in his pedigree. Stable's runners do improve for the run but are capable of readying a newcomer and market should be informative.

Cheap purchase who was unfancied and well beaten on debut. Best watched.

Price rose to £25,000 as a two-year-old and does have some speed in pedigree. Market should provide the best guide.

Son of Exceed and Excel who looks a leading contender on paper for a trainer with a typically powerful batch of juveniles. Market support would be significant.

8/11
Olympic Glory colt, cost 85,000 gns as a yearling and improved from debut with a good second at HQ. Probably wasn't suited by the track last time but also ran into a smart sort and if handling the quicker conditions should go close again.

Forecasts

Ynys Mon (8/11), Hua Hin (3/1), Yellow Fire (7/1), Boa Nova (9/1), Spirit Of May (12/1), Lamma Island (100/1)

Verdict

Hua Hin made a nice winning debut and should be competitive again but does have the task of giving a penalty away to some rivals from fellow leading stables. This looks another good opportunity for YNYS MON, albeit in different conditions, with his last two runs setting a very good standard. Debutantes Boa Nova and in particular Yellow Fire should be noted on debut particularly if there is market support.
  1. Ynys Mon
  2. Hua Hin
  3. Yellow Fire
