3lb higher than at the time of her sole previous win, but down the field the last twice and needs a revival here.
Off the mark at Doncaster two starts back. Should be capable of operating off this mark but questions to answer on quicker ground.
Not at her best on final run of 2017 last time out but looked like her turn could be near prior to that. Has run well on good to firm/good in the past and is one to strongly consider.
Dual course winner but out of sorts since the most recent of those last August. Tough to see him returning to form on first run of the season.
Recent form somewhat inconsistent and likely he'd prefer a softer surface than he's set to get here having not made an impact in fifth at Haydock last time out.
Only the occasional display of ability when trained by Richard Fahey, and best watched on this stable debut stepping up in trip. Also declared 3.35 yesterday.
Two good efforts in second on the AW the past twice off 1lb lower than this. Needs to prove he also acts on turf, but claims if replicating his recent form. Also declared 5.15 yesterday.
C&D winner at this best but not getting an younger, and placed effort at Newcastle two starts back his only recent promising effort. Also declared 2.35 yesterday.
Untried over this far and all wins have come on the AW at Southwell. All evidence suggests he's likely to struggle once again on turf.
0-9 in his career so far and hasn't looked much closer to getting off the mark in two runs so far this year.
Ran fairly well in second at Wolverhampton last time out, but 0-18 when racing on turf and others hold more convincing claims. Also declared 5.15 yesterday.
Forecasts
John Honeyman (11/8), Golconda Prince (6/1), Zihaam (8/1), Kiwi Bay (17/2), Rosemay (10/1), Monsieur Jimmy (10/1), New Abbey Angel (11/1), Scrutiny (14/1), Remember Rocky (33/1), Teomaria (40/1), Pudding Chare (50/1)
A race in which many of the contenders are also due to be running here yesterday, so it could cut up fairly significantly. John Honeyman would be the selection if turning up here but that has to be considered unlikely, and so preference is for ROSEMAY. She remains a maiden but that was a lot to like about much of her form towards the end of last year and has demonstrated she acts on quick ground in the past. Golconda Prince is on a fair mark and could also hit the frame.
- Rosemay
- John Honeyman
- Golconda Prince
