Stable debut having moved from France, and also his first run as a gelding. May be fairly treated off this mark given the form he showed in much better races than this.
Just 1lb above his mark at the time of his close second in the Ripon Silver Trophy last August, and not ruled out here from a fair draw.
Down the field in a competitive York handicap last time out but has his sights lowered here. Goes well here and this mark is workable but a little bit of rain would be ideal.
Has won better races than this in his prime, but two runs so far for this yard (both on the AW) have left plenty to be desired, and a revival is badly needed.
Hasn't been able to build on a fine opening effort for this yard at Wolverhampton in February, and improvement needed on his first try at this trip at Yarmouth last time out, when coming home last of all.
Irish raider who has been running well over the winter at Dundalk, and 6f on fast ground shouldn't be an issue on this return to turf; one to consider.
Down the field on turf debut last time out and now 2lb to 2lb above his last and only winning handicap mark. Both wins first time out and on Tapeta so a couple of question marks here.

Forecasts
Red Pike (7/2), Plough Boy (4/1), Dark Defender (4/1), Saryshagann (9/2), Afandem (11/2), Golden Steps (6/1), Dalton (10/1), Bobby Joe Leg (16/1)
A chance is taken on SARYSHAGANN. Making his stable/British debut here having joined David O'Meara, he appeals on the basis of some good efforts in France, including in much tougher races than this. He's been off a year but has previously won after a break and this opening mark of 90 may underestimate him. He could get the better of Red Pike, who should improve for his return run last time at Ripon, while the Irish raider Plough Boy should also go well.
- Saryshagann
- Red Pike
- Plough Boy
