Frequent winner on the AW last year when he looked a progressive sort working from a low base. His record on turf reads 0/4 so far although given his improvement he's worth another try on turf now off a slightly lower mark.

Dual course winner with one of those wins coming over C&D who ran well over the same C&D last time to finish second under a front-running ride. Runs off the same mark here and if granted the same soft lead could prove very dangerous.

Three-time winner last year on various synthetic surfaces over a variety of distances. Ran poorly when last seen on the Flat though over this C&D (heavy ground) and has since shown nothing over hurdles (reportedly bled also on that start).

C&D winner (off 11lb higher mark) but hasn't won since 2015 and ended last season with two poor runs. Blinkers worn for the first-time when last seen are now removed and best watched on his comeback from an absence.

Lightly-raced sort who makes his second start for a new yard having shaped with encouragement for them first time at Lingfield (1m2f, good/soft). Runs off the same mark here (57) but looks to have plenty of stamina maybe better at 1m4f.

Still a maiden after 15 starts and despite a falling mark she shows little sign of making use of it. Both her starts this year have been poor and she's not one to place much faith in here.

Verdict

Both Dangerous Ends and Kirkland Forever have shown promise to varying degrees of late although the former has to prove himself on turf and the latter may need a stiff test to show herself in the best light. ESSENAITCH went from the front here last time and is presented with the same scenario here and John Egan may well try similar tactics this time around with a paucity of other pace-setters in the field. Biotic looks to be on a decent mark but needs to show more to take a hand here as does Daily Trader.
